Following yesterday’s dog theft, a member has asked us to make residents aware of some
suspicious behaviour along Cocksure Lane.
A local resident was walking her dog this afternoon at about 2pm, and was concerned by two
men in their thirties driving a large, dirty, blue 4x4 with two hunting dogs in the back. The
resident suspects that they were travellers.
They drove by her as she was returning home. They thenturned around drove by her again and
parked up in front of her just past Pond Farm. The resident walked by them and realised they
were taking a real interest in her dog.
At this stage she became very worried and went into a neighbours garden, luckily the neighbour
was in. Then after a couple of minutes the men drove off.
The resident’s dog is a lurcher and could well been of interest as they had hunting dogs too.
Given the number of dog related incidents recently we would like others to be made aware of the
incident and to be extra vigilant.
