Dear all,
Unfortunately there has been a burglary on Cray Meadows ward; this occurred at Lincoln Road DA14 6LQ on Saturday 6th June at 03:45hrs.
It is believed that entrance was gained to the property by forcing the double glazed UPVC door using a screwdriver. The internal door handle had been lifted by
the resident to engage locks but this was not further secured by using the key.
I would like to reiterate to all residents with double glazed doors that lifting the door handle from the inside of your property does not secure the door; the door
can only be fully locked by using the key provided. Please also ensure that when doors are locked, keys are removed and placed in a safe place away from the
entrance.
